Elektromag is the undisputed leader in providing magnet repair services. In India, Elektromag has a long history of repairing hundreds of magnets of different brands, whether Indian or Imported. Elektromag follows the following practice for carrying out repairs:-

1 On receipt of the Magnet at our Works, thorough Mechanical and Electrical Inspection is carried out. If it is felt that the Magnet needs to be cut open for inspection, this process is carried out after seeking permission from the customer. The Magnet is cut open by Machining Process as far as possible.

2 If we find that the Design of the original supplier is incorrect, we will propose necessary modifications to its construction to the extent possible. Usually the proposal may require changes in the Coil Design and Magnet Housing, Bumping Plate, etc.

3 Thereafter, a Quotation is prepared listing the Scope of Repairs. Photographs of the Magnet Components showing the damage are also submitted to the customer.

4 Once the Quotation is approved, and Order received, we will proceed with the necessary repairs/modifications to the Magnet. We will follow all manufacturing processes as we would do in manufacturing a brand new magnet.

5 If the Old Coil removed from the Magnet is beyond repair, the customer will have the option of either taking the Coil back or be reimbursed with a suitable salvage value for the damaged Coil.

6 After the repairs are completed, the Magnet is thoroughly inspected and tested, following the same procedures we would for a new magnet. Customers are welcome to join us in the inspection process.

7 Before shipment, the Magnet is given a fresh coat of paint.

COIL OPTIONS : Elektromag can offer Magnets with conventional Aluminium or Copper Conductor or special Anodised Aluminium Strip Winding.
(The Anodised Aluminium Strip is imported by us from our Collaborators - Steinert, Germany).
